History and Origins

"Hy·ra·yaʹki" is a way to melt flour with eggs, or water, and to scatter onions and nilas and so on. Since it is a salt-soured dish, often made from the vegetables left in the refrigerator and the food that remains in it, many people have recently put on sauce and eat it, it is sometimes called "Knut-yaki" because it is a dish. It's called "heavy Chi" in the sense of cooking flatly. The sense of food is close to the taste of Korean food.

When It Is Eaten

In the case of the typhoons, which are frequent at Okinawa Prefecture, and the general power outages, when it was difficult to go out, they were often made from the food they had at home. It's also made as a simple home dish, as a snack, as a tea request, and not in emergencies.

How It Is Eaten

Mix flour with water, eggs, and nuts, and mix them together to make them larger and easier to eat. Oil is poured in hot fried bread, fabric is poured in, and the sides are baked. When the fire goes through, we transfer it to the plate. It's delicious even though it's still good, but it's OK to put on the sauce. Some people put on a potato or mayonnaise as a favorite, and others put on soy sauce instead of sauce. There are ways to cook without eggs, and this ends up in a completely delicious taste. Sometimes we use arsa, tsana, onions, and so on.
